- ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) - An EDI transaction (856) sent from the vendor to customer to alert them that a shipment has been sent.
- DSD (Direct Store Deliver) - A method of delivering products from a distributor directly to the retail store, bypassing a retailer’s warehouse. The vendor manages the product from order to shelf.
- GEPIR (GS1 Electronic Party Information Registry) - An International Catalog of Global Company Prefix & Global Location Number informaton.
- GLN (Global Location Number) - A GS1globally unique ID number to identify a physical location or legal identify.
- GS1 - A global standards organization that provides standards and solutions for the supply chain.
- GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) - A GS1 globally unique ID number to identify trade items, including both products and services that are delivered at any point in the service chain.
- ITF-14 - A GS1 standard I2of5 barcode that is used for packages that contain multiple units of the same item, e.g. a case of soup.
- SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) - A GS1 globally unique “license plate” to identify specific information about cartons, pallets, or trailer loads of products.
