StepOne Systems to Support Mobile Computing System Software
PITTSBURGH, April 17, 2007 - StepOne Systems announced today that Symbol Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola, Inc, has contracted with StepOne Systems to provide support for its discontinued WaveWorks and StoreWave software products.
StepOne Systems provides software and services to ensure that the mobile workforce has direct, seamless access to enterprise information. Under this agreement, StepOne will be able to help interested WaveWorks and StoreWave customers protect their software investments while providing a roadmap to a new mobile architecture.
"WaveWorks was a revolutionary piece of software platform for developing and integrating DOS-based mobile computing systems. The advent of Microsoft CE-based mobile computing has left a generation gap with WaveWorks customers that StepOne is uniquely qualified to help bridge," says Todd Berner, president and Chief Executive Officer of StepOne Systems. "StoreWave brought a set of bar-code intensive retail applications to market on the WaveWorks framework."
